THE SIDWELL FAMILY HISTORY BEHIND OUR FUDGE SAUCE

Our Gourmet Fudge Sauce is created from an old family recipe. Our families name dates back 100 years for producing Iowa’s finest dairy and ice cream. Being the first family to supply milk to the settlers in the state of Iowa, then producing the creamiest ice cream starting in the ‘1930’s. Sidwell’s developed a loyal clientele, famous for not only our dairy and ice cream, but our incredible toppings.

Today, our aim is to bring the Sidwell tradition to the ice cream lovers all over America. Sidwell’s customers love our all natural fudge sauce. Made with pure dark chocolate and the richest cocoa, then combined with all natural milk, cream, butter, and sugar, Sidwell’s Legendary Gourmet Fudge Sauce is sure to satisfy even the most discriminate fudge sauce connoisseur! Available in the natural food sections of the leading Iowa grocery stores, we are happy to bring our fudge sauce to you through our website. One try and you will become a member of our loyal following. One spoonful of our sauce will tell your taste buds that this is a real chocolate treat.

We had production locations in both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, Iowa. Our soda fountain and ice cream cone store on Iowa Ave. in Iowa City sold single dip cones for just $.05 back in the 50’s. The milk and ice cream we produced was distributed all over Eastern Iowa to grocery stores and ice cream shops.

Enjoy our Fudge Sauce. It is still made in small batches to conserve quality. If you read the labels of most chocolate sauces, they are mostly corn syrup, which is not a healthy substitute for real dark chocolate. Dark chocolate is a healthy snack. Our fudge sauce is produced in state inspected production facilities and has been tested at the Food Safety Institute in Ames, Iowa for shelf stability.
